BLOOMEN WEEK DOCUMENTATION

Bloomen Week 2020 (May 25 – 29, 2020) was our virtual event to present innovative platforms for Digital Media Asset Management using Blockchain technology.

On this page we collected all video recordings from all events.

The Bloomen research project teamed up with start-ups and established companies. Our common goal: How to better manage photos, videos and music files, licenses, payments, rights.

Each day of Bloomen Week focused on one of the above segments. On this page you can now see the demos presented by: Antenna, BMAT, Blokur, Deutsche Welle, Copytrack, Instiute of the Future, Revelator, Photochain.

 Photo Day

Key Topic: How can we manage photo rights, both for creators and licensed users? How can a fair exchange of photos ensure high visual quality combined with solid storage of meta data and license information?

Contents:

  • Copytrack: The start-up helps photographers to ensure that photos are not used without license. In his demo CEO and founder Michael Schmitt presented and overview about the worldwide situation and showed a demo how easy it is to use the tool.
  • Photochain.io: Stanislav Stolberg is CEO and founder of this new photo platform, which launched in early 2020. The core idea of Photochain is to be a marketplace/exchange platform, with a much higher than average then percentage of sales going to creators.
  • Bloomen Photo: Demonstrator for a blockchain-based photo assignments platform. This would be a way to solve scarcity of photos for some areas and topics. Key features enable to invite photographers, exchange briefings for photo assignments, contracts and subsequent payments to a wallet.

Music Day

Key Topic: Paying songwriters in hours, rather than in two years. Would that be possible? Why does clearance of music rights and claims of creators take so long today?

In an industry-first partnership Revelator, Teosto and BMAT have demonstrated a new standard for paying rights holders faster than ever. The technology enablers near real-time processing of radio performance royalties using a music monitoring platform in conjunction with a smart contract-powered platform. Blòkur uses advanced algorithms to reconcile music rights and deliver conflict-free data. Bloomen partners BMAT and Kendraio have contributed to innovative ways of managing music rights in a decentralised manner.

Contents:

  • BMAT: Bloomen Music Demonstrator. Blockchain my claim (Demo)
  • Revelator: Faster Royalty Payments
  • Blokur: Getting musicians and music companies paid what they should, when they should (Demo)
